Wingz & Thingz is an exotic rescue and sanctuary , owned by Grenville, Anita & Kian Allen.

Built by us and opened to the public in 2010 we enjoyed nine seasons before having to close in 2018. We also offered animal encounters and took some of our animals into nursing homes, schools, hotels plus we did birthday parties and information talks. As fun (and very hard work) as running a licensed zoo was it didn’t get enough footfall to sustain it. These days the animals we promised a home for life are living out their lives here and thanks to the sole use secure dog field, the parrot boarding & beauty treatments they are fed and cared for independently. A few have been lucky to find lifelong homes elsewhere depending on species and their individual needs. We are lucky to be home still to Wallabies, Racoon dogs, Parrots, Cockatoos & Tortoises.

New to 2025 will be our horsebox glamping so you can wake up with the wallaby’s.
